Senior Ministry

Here at LifePoint, this ministry is aimed at retirement age or for individuals who consider themselves empty-nesters (not necessarily a specific age).

We seek to encourage and equip people to intentionally minister to each other, to our local church, and to the world around us as we live in the joy of serving God by serving others.

For many people the term “senior” means someone “old” and by that a person who is self-focused, crabby, inflexible, complaining, and only wants to talk about their own problems, ailments, or surgeries.

But for us, “senior” is a term meaning someone who is advancing in age but also joyfully advancing in understanding and application of God’s truth, advancing in likeness to Jesus, and a person who gives a powerful and positive example of what it means to truly follow Jesus.

Our Goal is to lead the way for others as we follow Jesus, using our minds and abilities to serve the Lord by serving others as we “run through the finish line” and urge others to join with us in running well.
Joy Fellowship is a gathering on the third Thursday of most months for a pitch-in dinner and time of fellowship at 5:30 p.m. Check the calendar for our next meeting.

This group is also active in different outreach and missions projects throughout the year.
